Riverside Service Station
An industrial steel warehouse converted to a public service centre and library. The "Flagship Station" of Yangpu Binjiang Government service Station, on the Shanghai Yangpu riverside.
The Yang Pu Riverside project represents a transition to local performance materials, culturally rooted in tradition, but revealed through a modern lens. With an overall area of 800 square meters, the service station is an outsourced all-glass transparent building with three floors in total. The selection of engineered bamboo materials shows the power of locally sourced, sustainable design. The result is an enriched natural space that puts the user experience and well being into focus. The YangPu Riverside Station environment is joining the global trend to natural, healthy, spaces.
